Youth Unemployment Rate: As of January to March 2024, the unemployment rate for young people aged 16-24 was 13.0%, an increase from 11.6% in the same period the previous year​ (Commons Library)​​ (Commons Library)​.



Number of Unemployed Youths: There were 540,000 young people aged 16-24 who were unemployed during this period, an increase of 33,000 from the previous year​ (Commons Library)​​ (Commons Library)​.



NEET Statistics: The percentage of young people aged 18-24 who were not in education, employment, or training (NEET) was 15.0% in early 2024, an increase of 1.2 percentage points from the previous year. There were 320,000 unemployed NEETs, up 11,000 from the previous year​ (Office for National Statistics)​.


The Awesomeness Project is specifically designed to encourage healthy habits and to develop a positive mindset. 

There is a strong focus on building a strong work ethic by developing business and entrepreneurial skills which can help young people entering into work for the first time, further education or starting a business.

By developing positive healthy habits, young people will feel empowered and motivated to focus on building a successful career.
